A consultation has been launched to help develop Bracknell Forest Council’s Design Supplementary Planning Document (SPD). The guide will contain key principles of design and assist prospective applicants in understanding Bracknell Forest Council’s expectations for design when submitting planning applications.
The new guidance is far-reaching and covers everything from house extensions to blocks of apartments and large scale housing schemes. The aim is to create buildings that will fit well in their area, promoting vibrant communities and creating great places to live and work.
The consultation runs until Monday, 28 November 2016.
Subject to the responses on the public consultation, a final version of the SPD is anticipated to be adopted as planning guidance in early 2017.
