South Oxfordshire Design Guide 2016
South Oxfordshire are consulting on a new Design Guide Document (SPD) to replace the existing design guide (2008).
The new guide is much more concise than the existing guide, being 50 pages rather than 204. It is a much more visual document, relying on illustrations, plans and photos to convey important messages and provide explanations rather than detailed text which the previous guide had. The introduction of the checklists is also a new tool which sets the standard they expect new developments to meet and provides a basis for assessment and testing of the design of proposed developments.
The consultation period runs until 29 July 2016.
